The sheer trend is not going away with 2011. Sheer blouses, pants, skirts, and dresses are present in many of the spring/summer 2012 runway shows. These are some of my favorite looks that feature this risque trend from the latest shows.
I am a huge lover of booties. These are my favorites from the fall 2011 collections, some of my favorites. I had to edit the post down to a reasonable number of images.
Edie Campbell is a really versatile model it seems, she can look like a school girl, all dolled up old-school glamorous, and apparently with the right make up, kind of Asian. The editorial was shot by Tiziano Magni for Numéro China May 2011 issue (#8) and styled by Joseph Carle. There are some great pieces in this spread, I love the really low crotch harem pants, and the mustard-colored embellished top. Once again the beige leather Gucci top has made it’s way into yet another editorial, I think this is the third one, maybe even fourth, that I’ve spotted it in, does that garment have it’s own marketing team?
This editorial from the July 2011 issue of Vogue Turkey depicts some very fun girls the morning after a night of partying. The styling is that perfect disheveled sexy that is so intriguing even to those of us who are normally well-behaved and groomed to perfection. Models Viktoriya Sasonkina & Eliza Cummings, photographed by Hugh Lippe.
The “extraterrestrial” theme is everywhere right now, movies, music, and fashion. Here are some great shoes from the Fall 2011 collections that also look like alien technology.

Zoo Magazine was founded in 2003 in Amsterdam, and it’s got some of that rough around the edges feel of it’s home town, but the styling is on point and the photography is amazing. It is published four times a year, in German and English. This editorial features Dree Hemingway and was shot by Bryan Adams. My favorite pieces, the satin white tee and the one-sleeve tee. I’m also really liking the combo of the burnt orange and the crisp white, overall the looks all feel very fresh and chic.
The charming girl next door Emma Stone is on the cover of the July issue of Elle. In the spread inside she is wearing the very summery trend of polka dots. We love the sheer blouses and the leather overalls.
The Cover shot
For their summer issue V Magazine Spain did a great editorial with a retro cheeky schoolgirl theme, and they got all the newest cool chics of the modeling world to be in it. Codie Young, Hannah Noble, Ros Georgou, Annabella Tsaboukas, Kate King, Marique Schimmel, Maud Welzen, Kat Hessen, and our favorite, Ruby Aldridge. Shot by Terry Tsiolis. These are my five favorite pages.
I’ve been looking through the resort 2012 collections and I’m feeling thoroughly inspired. I love the satin trousers, the blazers, and I’m definitely going to post the best of the incredible gowns from these collections soon. Today, though I have to bring your attention to the Lanvin Resort 2012 lookbook, it is fantastic and can stand in for an editorial as is. Models Daphne Groeneveld and Kristina Salinovic exude glamour and fun, and make a gray staircase look like the chicest place to hang out, but Daphne really steals the show with her “Whip My Hair” action.
Editorial from Vogue Russia, titled “The Evening Will Be White” Shot by Mariano Vivanco, styled by fashion editor Katerina Mukhina. Model Anna Selezneva’s eyes are captivating and her poses are amazing. The look is very summer, white ensembles with pops of bright colors in the accessories. Definitely something to try.
Here’s something for the shoe fiends in all of us
Rodarte, this trend of wearing pumps with sheer socks also appeared on Cynthia Rowley’s runway. It’s a great alternative to going barefoot and getting blisters or wearing the little nylon socks that look silly if they stick out of the shoe.
Vests are definitely a trend this year for fall, but they are also going strong in the resort 2012 collections.
The Western theme is a trend for this spring, but you don’t have to go the camel and turquoise route once again. Get some inspiration from this French Vogue editorial and play the wild west’s villain.

Amazing editorial photography. Model Sophie Srej, photographed by Vince Baráti. Styled by Daniel Botos and Kata Oltai.
From the runways it’s evident that crochet is back again this summer. What I’m liking about this is it’s not looking so frumpy this season. It’s got some edge and an easy chic style.
Great editorial photographed by Josh Olins in this months issue of Vogue Japan. Rocker meets anime character? Model Anja Rubik makes it look super cool.
A big accessory trend this year is the statement necklace. They have huge stones, numerous strands, metal plates, fringe, and either intricate or strong geometric shapes. Here’s some great ones.
Let’s face it, studs need to go, how much can we take, really. So for this year, when it comes to handbags, we’re playing with textures, different shapes, and interesting details.

First off, Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there!
Now if your mom is the kind that likes bomber jackets and thigh high boots, then this cool accessory would make a great mother’s day present this year, and if not, then you could just get one for yourself RYGGRAD girl.
These leather cuffs can be worn as a double-bracelet or used as cuffs for whatever you would need a set of those for.
