The charming girl next door Emma Stone is on the cover of the July issue of Elle. In the spread inside she is wearing the very summery trend of polka dots. We love the sheer blouses and the leather overalls.
The Cover shot
We’re thinking the Oscars maybe…
For their summer issue V Magazine Spain did a great editorial with a retro cheeky schoolgirl theme, and they got all the newest cool chics of the modeling world to be in it. Codie Young, Hannah Noble, Ros Georgou, Annabella Tsaboukas, Kate King, Marique Schimmel, Maud Welzen, Kat Hessen, and our favorite, Ruby Aldridge. Shot by Terry Tsiolis. These are my five favorite pages.
I’ve been looking through the resort 2012 collections and I’m feeling thoroughly inspired. I love the satin trousers, the blazers, and I’m definitely going to post the best of the incredible gowns from these collections soon. Today, though I have to bring your attention to the Lanvin Resort 2012 lookbook, it is fantastic and can stand in for an editorial as is. Models Daphne Groeneveld and Kristina Salinovic exude glamour and fun, and make a gray staircase look like the chicest place to hang out, but Daphne really steals the show with her “Whip My Hair” action.
Editorial from Vogue Russia, titled “The Evening Will Be White” Shot by Mariano Vivanco, styled by fashion editor Katerina Mukhina. Model Anna Selezneva’s eyes are captivating and her poses are amazing. The look is very summer, white ensembles with pops of bright colors in the accessories. Definitely something to try.
The editorial is titled “Physical” shot by Tom Munro, styled by Charles Varenne. This may be my favorite editorial so far this year, so many amazing shots, and Abbey Lee looks fantastic.
Here’s something for the shoe fiends in all of us
Rodarte, this trend of wearing pumps with sheer socks also appeared on Cynthia Rowley’s runway. It’s a great alternative to going barefoot and getting blisters or wearing the little nylon socks that look silly if they stick out of the shoe.
This isn’t exactly recent but it’s worth looking at if you haven’t seen it already. This editorial from Another Magazine Spring 2009 issue features English actress Tilda Swinton. Swinton portrays the witch in the Chronicles of Narnia, and the angel Gabriel in Constantine. She definitely has an ethereal quality to her that captures the imagination, and this editorial is breath-taking. Shot by Craig McDean.
Rosie is a fantastic model, and with the new Transformers movie she is adding acting to her resume. Definitely, looking forward to seeing it. Editorial from Elle UK July 2011 issue, photographed by Terry Tsiolis.
Completely adore supermodel Anja Rubik. This is such a cool editorial, it’s mysterious, has a retro feel, and every image is captivating. Shot by Victor Demcarchelier. Featured in the February 2011 issue of Viva Moda.
This editorial may be from last year, but it’s gorgeous, and Christina Ricci will always be cool. Titled “No Vacancy”.
Vests are definitely a trend this year for fall, but they are also going strong in the resort 2012 collections.
Editorial titled “Tribal” from the Numéro magazine’s 124th issue is so good. Model Hailey Clauson, shot by Sebastian Kim, styled by Charles Varenne. Love, love, love…
This is a great lookbook, the photography really takes you into a different world, that’s gritty and beautiful. Shot by Hugh Lippe.
Another great editorial from French Vogue, the June 2011 issue. Contemporary style with classical art beauty. Raquel Zimmermann is perfect for this shoot. Shot by David Sims, styled by Beat Bolliger. Titled Soleil Noir.
Editorial styled by Jean Paul Gaultier for Les Echos Magazine, starring one of our muses, Coco Rocha.
The Western theme is a trend for this spring, but you don’t have to go the camel and turquoise route once again. Get some inspiration from this French Vogue editorial and play the wild west’s villain.
Model – Isabeli Fontana

Jessie J, like Lady Gaga, has seen success as a songwriter before stepping into the spotlight as a vocalist. She co-wrote “Party in the U.S.A.” for Miley Cyrus. So she’s not just a pretty face with a voice, she’s a real music artist, and that’s the kind of women we like to promote at RYGGRAD. Plus, we like her style.
Amazing editorial photography. Model Sophie Srej, photographed by Vince Baráti. Styled by Daniel Botos and Kata Oltai.
From the runways it’s evident that crochet is back again this summer. What I’m liking about this is it’s not looking so frumpy this season. It’s got some edge and an easy chic style.
Great editorial photographed by Josh Olins in this months issue of Vogue Japan. Rocker meets anime character? Model Anja Rubik makes it look super cool.
